Shirley Chester

Operations / Quality Manager

Shirley started her working life in Pharmacy, gaining her Diploma in Pharmacy Dispensing, and became involved in microbiological and chemical testing of products, and waste treatment monitoring. After completing her Certificate of Science as a Chemistry major, Shirley was an Analytical Team Leader for 5 years, during which time the department grew from two to nine staff. Shirley then worked in QA, QC and microbiological testing of refined edible oil products at Aspak (now Meadowlea NZ), and moved into warehousing (including forklift license!), then left to become an Office Manager. As a R&D/Quality Officer, Shirley then overhauled and computerised the Tegel Foods (NZ) specification system, and completed her Lead Auditor NATA course.

Upon joining NVSI as our New Zealand Office Manager, Shirley has finally "seen the light", and is now an Australian resident, and is enjoying the warmer weather over here...
